William Oster

About

Currently serving as a communications specialist for William & Mary, highlighting research and stories across university departments with a focus on government and economics. I also collaborate with the university's web, media relations and content teams in pitching faculty and stories to media outlets. I got my start in journalism at The CU Independent at the University of Colorado Boulder. There, I built the fundamentals of reporting, researching and pitching stories and building cohesiveness in a team environment as managing editor. After graduation, I served as leader reporter/newspaper editor of the Estes Park Trail-Gazette, learning the importance of deadline and seeing firsthand the impact local news has on its residence. Now, I find my passion in college communications and public relations, eager to be at the forefront of research advancement and uplift voices across the college community. I'm excited to get to work!
