I work as a political reporter for the Mankato Free Press, where I cover local and state governments. Before that, I worked at the Austin Daily Herald in Austin, Minnesota, as a reporter and magazine editor. I enjoy fleshing out larger stories from small events and I love working on in-depth pieces about aspects of our society that show who we are and where we want to be. I've covered Fortune 500 companies, immigration and diversity, education, city, county and state government, business, nonprofits, courts and crime and more. In other words, I've had experience covering almost everything except nuclear weapons.
