Claim your profileI run Subrilliant LLC and host and produce several independent Web shows including Daily Tech News Show, Sword and Laser: a science fiction and fantasy book club, Cordkillers, It's A Thing and A Word with Tom Merritt. I'm also the writer of novels like Pilot X, Trigor and Project VERA among others. I previously hosted the award-winning Tech News Today show as well as Frame Rate, a show about cord-cutting and online video. Before that I was an executive editor for CNET TV overseeing and presenting content for video on CNET.com and CNETTV.com. My shows included Help and How-to, CNET Top 5, and many more. I also co-produced and hosted the CNET Buzz Out Loud podcast. Prior to CNET TV I was editor in charge of user engagement for CNET.com overseeing the home page promotions and headlines and advising on help and how to and community. Before that I was executive producer overseeing all Web content for the TechTV network with emphasis on growing the audience in order to increase Time Spent Viewing on the network by increasing awareness and focus on programming through the website. Set editorial direction and strategies as well as community interaction and growth. Push group to develop creative ideas that will grab the attention of the public and drive them towards the networks website and TV product.
