Previously Beijing-based for 5+ years, where I was Bloomberg's China correspondent and anchored “Bloomberg Markets: China Open”. Reported from across the country covering China's economic evolution, the US-China trade war, Xi Jinping's increasingly assertive domestic and foreign policy, tech sector changes and financial sector reforms. Interviews with top business leaders including; Huawei CEO Ren Zhengfei, Alibaba founder Jack Ma, Baidu CEO Robin Li, Walt Disney Co. Formerly reporter and video journalist at Bloomberg TV in London, primarily focused on international politics. I covered national elections in Turkey, Spain, Greece, the UK. Also reported extensively on the Greek financial crisis. Prior to joining Bloomberg, I was a reporter/producer at CNBC EMEA in London. As well being a lead producer on the flagship show Squaw Box, I reported regularly on topics ranging from business and politics to technology and sport. Notable interviews include then Labour Party leader Ed Miliband, then London Mayor Boris Johnson, as well as a host of CEOs spanning Ryanair's Michael O'Leary to the heads of Nokia and Ericsson. Pre-CNBC I lived in Beijing, working across TV and print including The Sunday Times, Telegraph, The Guardian, South China Morning Post.
