Claim your profileI’m the politics and public affairs editor for The Lexington Herald-Leader, where I lead a team of reporters covering politics and government in Frankfort and D.C., as well as issues of public safety. I was previously the Frankfort bureau chief at the H-L. Prior to that, I was an investigative reporter at the Courier Journal in Louisville, Kentucky, and before that worked at The Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville, Florida, and the Midland Reporter-Telegram in Midland, Texas.I graduated from Western Kentucky University with degrees in news/editorial journalism and sociology and a minor in political science. My experience includes internships at The Arizona Republic (Phoenix) and The Commercial Appeal (Memphis), as well as three years on the College Heights Herald staff at WKU.Outside of work, I am a member of the WKU Student Publications Way Forward Committee and a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana.
