Claim your profileTerry Tang was appointed Executive Editor of the Los Angeles Times in April 2024. She was previously Editorial Page Editor and Op-Ed and Sunday Opinion Editor of the Times. She joined the Times's Opinion Section as an editor in July 2019. She was Director of Publications and Editorial at the ACLU from 2017-2019. Prior to that she was at The New York Times as Deputy Editorial Page Editor, Op-Ed Editor, an editorial writer, deputy technology editor, major beats editor for Metro news and an editor at Room for Debate. She was a columnist and editorial writer at the Seattle Times, and a staff writer at the Seattle Weekly. Ms. Tang has a B.A. in economics from Yale University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law. She was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard in 1992-1993.
