I am currently the Weather Digital Producer/Meteorologist at WISH-TV 8 in Indianapolis, IN. I interned at WISH back in the summer of 2018. Some of my duties at work include on-air fill-ins, posting blogs, relying warnings/watches/advisories, on-air accessory for severe weather coverage, and sometimes helping with traffic in the mornings. Another important note about my job experience is that I have also covered both impactful severe and winter weather events. I was able to learn valuable information and the physical display of how tasks and roles are played out when we are covering a major weather event. I'm in the midst of searching for an on-air meteorologist position. The on-air experience I gathered along with consistent hard work relating to the following: - Increase in digital views on all social media platforms we use - Team player and flexible with shifts - Utilizing my weather stats and history knowledge for stories Makes me confident that I can fit into a higher ranked TV market. Indianapolis is the 25th ranked market according to the 2024-25 DMA Nielsen seasonal rankings. The honor and privilege that I earned to build upon a high standard of work the last five years is viable to the strong resume I display for those seeking meteorologist job candidates. When I went to Ball State, I did weather forecasting for NewsLink Indiana and WCRD 91.3 FM for two and a half years.
