Claim your profileSteve is an experienced Programme Controller, presenter, producer and Head of Music.Starting his radio career in Bristol in 1998 as a traffic reporter for Classic Gold, he soon became the breakfast presenter of Bath’s GWR FM and went on to present shows for GWR FM Bristol, digital stations The Storm, The Mix, Core and the GWR Group network overnight show.In 2002, Steve moved to North Wales, becoming On-Air Programme Controller of Champion 103 and Coast 96.3, which won 5 awards in 5 years including Sony Gold U.K. Station of the Year. In 2008, Steve added Marcher Sound, Gold (Cheshire & N.E Wales) and Wirral’s Buzz to his responsibilities. In July 2009, all 4 FM stations re-branded as Heart. In early 2011, he joined 106 JACK fm and Glide FM in Oxford producing 2 Strangers & A Wedding, which won a Sony gold award for Best Competition.Steve became Programme Director of Celador Radio's 106 JACK fm South Coast in May 2011. 5 years on, the station had doubled it's audience and won the Sony silver for Best Station Imaging (2013). In 2014, 106 JACK fm was also a finalist twice over in the Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards for the Station Imaging and Marketing awards.Steve also produced the Arqiva award nominated daily Walking With The Wounded feature series for The Breeze network in late 2013, following the progress of the wounded servicemen walking to the South Pole with Prince Harry. In July 2014, Steve took on the additional responsibility of running Fire Radio, the Dorset dance and R & B station.Steve joined Nation Broadcasting in July 2016 as Content Manager of London's Thames Radio and the Welsh national station Dragon Radio.In July 2017, Steve moved to Bauer Radio as Music Producer for heat radio, the national radio spin-off of heat magazine. In addition to his heat radio role, he joined Country Hits Radio in April 2019 as a content producer. Then in January 2020, he left heat Radio to work full time at Country Hits Radio, which rebranded in 2021 as Absolute Radio Country..Since September 2018, Steve has also been the Programme Director of Brighton, Portsmouth and Glasgow's DAB dance station Atmosphere Radio. In 2020, he set up demoji.co.uk a free and confidential service to help people create radio demos for job applications.And in April 2022, he returned to Oxfordshire as the Programme Controller of JACKfm, JACK 2 HITS & JACK 3 CHILL.
