I am an anchor and reporter from Wheeling, West Virginia with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Grove City College.Broadcast journalism has taken me to different parts of the world, with my favorite being Ireland.I've interviewed state governors, covered gruesome murders, surprised unsuspecting teachers with giant checks and even investigated a coalmine crossing under an interstate.My coverage once helped an old man pay a hefty helicopter bill. Ask me about it and I will tell you why it is one of my proudest stories.And when I anchor, I hold a conversation like we are catching up over coffee.I'm a nature enthusiast who can identify over 100 bird species by their call alone.I still have yet to work that into news, but it's a fun party trick.I am a defender of the underdog. I love emceeing events. And when it comes to adventure, I embrace it with anxious optimism. What I look for the most in a new place is the vote of confidence they instill in me.
