I have been a chronicler of economy, business and markets for three decades. I combine the calculated logic of finance with creative storytelling to build insightful narratives that people can act upon. I started out in an era when news was typecast on bromide, printed on offset machines, and delivered a day later by trucks. It was a world before Google, Facebook or even Justin Bieber.From then to now, when news lives on the byte-lanes of high-speed Internet, delivered as it happens, I have survived, adapted and thrived across many cultural and technological paradigms. My trusted friends in this journey have been passion, curiosity and integrity. I live today by the same principles of journalism that I learned on the first day – make it accurate, keep it objective and tell it engagingly.Over the years, I have had the privilege of guiding scores of younger journalists, sharing what I've learned and helping them create great work on their own.Outside of work, I love solving crosswords and other puzzles. I enjoy driving long distances. I teach subjects I know for free. I am trained as a first aider.
