Claim your profileI am a multi-award-winning longform features writer, a non-fiction book reviewer and an experienced and versatile editor. I love reading about and telling true stories, stories that move people, that explore big and difficult ideas and that help us see the world a little differently. I have reported from North Africa and the Middle East, and have written on a wide range of subjects in the US and UK, from investigating the problem of sexual harassment in schools, to exploring the emerging neuroscience of consciousness, to telling the intimate story of life inside a remote motel that overnight became home to over 100 Afghan evacuees. I have written several cover stories for New Statesman. My writing has earned me two British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) awards and the 2016 Amnesty International Award for best feature. I also love interviewing writers about their books, for podcasts, book talks or on stage.
