I am a Michigan-based journalist with a passion for storytelling. I've always considered myself a people person, which is why journalism has been such a fulfilling career path for me. In the past, I've covered local government, education, the environment and breaking news for a variety of publications such as the New York Times, Lansing State Journal, Flint Beat and a variety of other Michigan newspapers. During my time at Michigan State University, I also studied political science, broadcast journalism and public relations, which contribute to my methods of storytelling, my ability to engage with sources and my overall understanding of topics I write about.
