I am an Essence bestselling author and award-winning journalist who has appeared on CNN, Nightline, NPR, HLN, the BBC and Al Jazeera. I am the host of Wake Up With WURD, weekday mornings on WURD Radio. I am also Community Affairs Director for Radio One Philadelphia, and the host of Your Voice, a weekly show on Classix 107.9 FM. I have a B.A. in journalism from Temple University, and pen a column on race and social justice for the Philadelphia Inquirer. I am the author of 11 books, including the critically acclaimed crime thrillers, Pipe Dream, The Bridge, and The Dead Man's Wife.
