Claim your profileI believe stories have the power to capture intricate aspects of humanity and bring us a little bit closer to understanding each other. I love to write. As a journalist and executive editor of The Coronado News, I want to find the truth where there are gaps in the narrative, to ask the hard questions where accountability is nonexistent and to amplify voices that have been left on the sidelines. Everyone is in search of something real, something not saturated with an agenda. It is my job and passion to present the facts. As a journalist and editor, I not only have experience covering and writing multiple stories every week that inform and educate the community, but now, as the Editor-in-Chief, oversee The Coronado News as a whole— the day to day logistics, story content generation, deadlines, and managing both our 24-hour news site and weekly print paper. Journalism is my passion—that and well, fishing. Up to this point in my life, I have trekked up to Bristol Bay, Alaska every summer to commercial fish for the sockeye salmon run. I find peace in the wild beauty of the stark Alaskan tundra and am no stranger to hard work. I believe everyone has a story to tell and it is my goal to tell the ones that need to be heard, the stories that are of lasting significance.
