Hi there! I'm a video journalist and social strategist who's passionate about improving the way you receive news on mobile platforms. I have extensive experience in social video, YouTube video, Instagram Story production and Snapchat Discover. I'm currently a video editor at Morning Brew, a New York-based business media company that makes understanding the news easy. Previously, I worked at The Wall Street Journal for three years as a YouTube video journalist and social video journalist. I helped launch two teams and produced more than 600 videos. Before that, I worked at The New York Times as an Instagram editor, assistant video editor, Snapchat Discover writer and social media intern. I’ve also worked at NBC Nightly News, CNBC, KNBC Los Angeles (LA’s NBC station) and KUT (Austin’s NPR station). I earned a degree in broadcast and digital journalism from the University of Southern California, which I attended as a Gates Millennium Scholar. At USC, I served as executive editor of USC Annenberg Media, a student newsroom of more than 200 journalists. Previously at USC Annenberg Media, I was an executive producer for a social video team, social media editor, Snapchat show host, Facebook Live host, television reporter, radio anchor and social video producer. During college, I also served a 17-month term on the National Association of Hispanic Journalists' national board as the group's student representative.
