Claim your profileIf someone would have asked me when I was in college to describe my dream job, I might have replied: “Some editing and publication design. Some teaching. Some writing. Oh, and I’d like a new car every week.” Now I’ve been blessed enough to make that dream a reality. Working full-time as a news editor, I’ve been designing news pages for many years. I’ve had some of the best colleagues and supervisors teach me Adobe Creative Suite along the way. And I sat down with a couple textbooks and a good web instruction site and came out the other side with two web sites using HTML and CSS. A free-lance automotive writing gig for The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer parlayed into a few stories in The New York Times, and then a weekly column including car reviews in The Philadelphia Inquirer. It switches to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in mid-February 2013. I taught an InDesign publications lab for two semesters at Temple University, and now teach introductory freshman composition at Lincoln University of Pennsylvania.
