Claim your profileI'm an Emmy award-winning journalism professional who loves the job. I'm a full-time anchor but writing and reporting is at the core of everything I do. I've never been out on a story when I didn't see something that could be the focus of another story. I do some series and special project reporting these days. I've spent a lot of time covering the courts and government on the county, state and federal level. I have been an official witness for two state executions in Tennessee. The first involved lethal injection and the second electrocution. I like music and get to write about it and the people who make it from time to time. It's one of the pluses of living and working in Nashville. I'm active in my community, serving in recent years as a Sunday school teacher for teenage boys at Long Hollow Baptist Church, a board member for the Sumner County YMCA and three time chair of the Davidson County Community Advisory Board for the Department of Children's Services. I serve regularly as an emcee at events for the American Cancer Society, Holiday Fest in Hendersonville and at parades and events all over middle Tennessee. I'm also a frequent guest speaker at clubs and civic organizations. I am a Christ follower, a husband and a father. My wife Dana and I have two wonderful children, an adult daughter and a teenage son. Father is the title I'm most proud of.
