Claim your profileSaurabh Gupta is the Bureau Chief for NDTV in Kolkata. He has been a journalist with NDTV for ten years and has been based in Mumbai for a large part of his career. He has covered politics, crime, courts, natural disasters, insurgency situations and rural distress in the Vidarbha and Marathwada regions of Maharashtra. Saurabh has also reported on defence and national security issues along with arts and culture. During the course of this reporting experience, Saurabh has travelled across 17 states in India, including the northeastern states of India. Saurabh loves to travel and believes every trip is the germination of a story idea. Saurabh has been based in Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi throughout his journalism career. Saurabh has reported on environmental issues as he personally believes that stories on environmental degradation requires a lot more attention from mainstream media across the world. Embracing the technology shift in journalism towards mobile phones, Saurabh has been at the forefront of adapting to the challenges of being a one-man unit on challenging shoots and specialises in scripting, shooting, editing and reporting live on the mobile phone or Mobile Journalism (MoJo).
