Claim your profileBorn and raised in Manitoba, Sarah cut her teeth in journalism at the age of 18 in campus media. Since then, she has worked for several local and national publications, including Maclean’s, the Winnipeg Free Press, the National Post, CBC News Network, CBC’s Power and Politics, and the Telegraph-Journal in Saint John. She is currently a web writer with CBC Manitoba, after working with CBC in New Brunswick. Her work has also garnered national awards. In the spring of 2017, she was part of a team of reporters and editors from the Telegraph-Journal nominated for a National Newspaper Award for a large feature on the Port of Saint John. The team won an Atlantic Journalism Award for the same piece. In 2014 she was awarded the prestigious CBC News Joan Donaldson Scholarship, which gave her the opportunity to work in various capacities for CBC News programs over the summer.
