Claim your profileBased in San Francisco, Sara has worked in many facets of the food and hospitality industry. Her hands-on restaurant experience has provided her with an empathetic, blood-sweat-tears understanding of the business. She believes good branding is the same as good hospitality: The goal is human connection. Sara has been a partner at Tacolicious since it opened in 2010 and worked as the Branding and Marketing Director of the popular, multi-unit, full-service restaurant group. She helped launch five brands under the T-lish umbrella, created the Tacolicious School Project which raised over $1M for public schools, and has lead everything from social media to interior design to menu development. Continuing to expand, Tacolicious is opening a counter service concept called Todo el Dia in San Francisco in Spring 2024. Sara began her career on the other side of the fence as a food writer. She spent over 15 years as a magazine editor at 7x7 and San Francisco and has contributed to publications such as Bon Appétit, Gourmet, Eater, Sunset and Saveur. She is the author of four cookbooks and has had her work selected for multiple Best Food Writing anthologies. She travels to eat and is always plotting her next dinner.
