I also consider myself a leader and mentor to young media professionals.Career Moments (2006-present)- Assigned as the pool reporter inside the courtroom when the jury reached a verdict in the Kimberly Potter manslaughter trial.- Reported on the civil unrest during the summer of 2020 in Minneapolis, Minnesota following the tragic killing of George Floyd. I continued to report live despite police deploying pepper spray, tear gas, and flash bangs at our crew.- Contributed to the breaking news coverage in Wisconsin, when Jayme Closs escaped from her kidnapper and returned home.- Covered the shooting of Justine Damond and then the criminal trial of the Mohammed Noor, the police officer who killed her.- One of the first reporters to arrive at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, following a mass shooting at the nightclub. Spent a week telling the stories of heartbroken loved ones and the heroic actions of first responders and strangers.- Camped out for roughly three weeks with national media in Sanford, FL to report on the trial of George Zimmerman and reported live as the verdict came down.
