Claim your profileI’m a writer and editor specializing in journalism, branded content, essays, and fiction. I work as the main content writer for a mortgage lender that helps people retire. I’ve written for outlets including the Washington Post, Business Insider, Saveur, Civil Eats, and JSTOR Daily. One of my greatest accomplishments has been co-founding and managing literary journal The Sunlight Press, where I lead a team of 7 people and curate 1,000 submissions a year. I strive for deep storytelling. My work covers food, social justice, wellness, culture, parenting, grief, and finance. As a former lawyer and a member of the Texas bar, I report on law. I’m currently working on a memoir about grief, culture, and growing up Hindu in Texas. I also teach classes to adults and children alike about writing and pitching, in addition to public speaking and coaching clients on freelancing.
