Claim your profileRolando Hernandez, known as, "Rolie" to his friends, is a Public Relations and Journalism Senior at the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently the executive producer for TSTV's broadcast news show Texas News Channel. His responsibilities include editing script, coordinating pitch meetings, organizing rundowns and assisting new journalists with their stories. When he's not busy producing a live news show, Hernandez can be found on Chicon St. where he interns for the Texas Observer drafting digital copy, running weekly KPI reports and creating data visualizations. He hopes to one day work in broadcast but eventually would like to return to school for a graduate degree focusing his thesis and research on advertisement of news publications and how to increase engagements.
