Claim your profileI'm a seasoned journalist and author and I currently works as a senior editor for "Adweek" magazine in New York. My work has appeared in 25 different magazines, newspapers and websites. I've also authored three critically acclaimed books on American history during WWII and the postwar period. My bylines run the gamut from profiles to essays to in-depth features and frequently deal with little known events in 20th century history, offbeat Americana, business trends and American legacy corporations. Garnering solid reviews from publications including "The Washington Post" and the "Daily Beast," my three non-fiction books ("FDR's Funeral Train: A Betrayed Widow, a Soviet Spy, and a Presidency in the Balance," "The Hidden White House: Harry Truman and the Reconstruction of America's Most Famous Residence," and "The Devil's Mercedes: The Bizarre and Disturbing Adventures of Hitler's Limousine in America") have given me extensive public speaking experience. My engagements have included keynote addresses at two presidential libraries and popular venues including the 92nd Street Y.As a longtime reporter and writer for "Adweek," I have profiled media figures including Arianna Huffington and Pharrell Williams; created and written two of my own sections; and published some of the magazine's most ambitious features. My investigative pieces have ranged from the problem of hate speech on social media to gun violence in the workplace. My experience as a journalist and an author has also led to a wide variety of international media appearances, including National Public Radio, the BBC and Germany's RTL network.
