Each weekday I write The Download daily newsletter, covering all the latest technology news, and I also oversee the creation of our monthly AI Hype Index: tracking the good and realistic vs the bad and doom-laden of AI development as it happens. I have presented our 15 Climate Tech Companies to Watch list, hosted panels and conducted live interviews at the magazine’s EmTech conferences in London and Rome in front of live audiences. I recently participated in a subscriber-exclusive Roundtable event discussing how AI chatbots are changing our relationships with others and ourselves, and hosted a fireside chat at the inaugural SXSW London. During my extensive career I’ve written for UK national newspapers, specialist tech publications and the BBC. I recently won Best Technology Newsletter at the 2025 Publisher Newsletter Awards, and I was shortlisted in the Technology Journalism category of the British Journalism Awards for my exclusive news stories in 2021. I also won an MHP 30 to Watch award in 2014.
