As an editor at City & State NY, I work with the editorial team to produce high-quality stories for the website and the weekly print magazine. I also evaluate and edit op-ed submissions from outside parties, ensuring they meet our editorial standards and guidelines.Before joining City & State, I worked as managing editor of New York Focus, where I oversaw the newsroom's editorial output and social media strategy. I also led editorial partnerships with other news organizations and provided editorial guidance to staff and freelance reporters.My reporting and commentary have appeared in City & State NY, New York Focus, Politico, New York magazine, Columbia Journalism Review, New York Observer, and Jacobin. In 2018, I was named to Forbes magazine's list of "30 Under 30" in Media. I graduated from Columbia University in 2014 with a BA in Cultural Anthropology. I am passionate about journalism, democracy and social justice, and I aim to produce work that both informs and empowers readers.
