Claim your profileEnjoyed a lengthy career at the Los Angeles Times as a journalist specializing in outdoors recreation and environmental issues, as well as lifestyle/action sports. Winner of state and national awards. –Experience in editing, headline writing, and photography. –Helped launch and sustain the L.A. Times' Outposts blog when blogs were becoming a thing at newspapers. –Worked full-time at Grind TV (Now the Adventure Sports Network) for seven years with the goal of landing stories on the Yahoo homepage. Stories on Yahoo garnered more than 3 billion views (those were the days!).–Now reporting on outdoor recreation and action sports for USA Today's digital sports division, with stories often featured on the MSN homepage. Career highlights: Covering snowboarding at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Italy; traveling to incredible destination; working in a vibrant newsroom (before downsizing took its toll), and meeting so many wonderful people at work and during my travels.
