I'm an experienced, 41-year-old NFL columnist, beat writer and television analyst in my 10th season covering the Giants and football for the New York Daily News. I host the Talkin' Ball with Pat Leonard podcast, which I brought to Super Bowl Radio Row in New Orleans in Feb. 2025. Prior to football, I covered the NHL's New York Rangers for five seasons, including three Eastern Conference finals, two Stanley Cup finals and an NHL lockout. I've appeared regularly on television on SNY's Daily News Live and Geico Sportsnite as both an in-studio analyst and on-site correspondent. I spent a year as a FoxSports 1 NHL correspondent for America's Pregame. I am a regular guest with NBC's Bruce Beck, FOX5NY and CBS in New York City, and with various high-profile NFL TV and radio shows and podcasts throughout the country. Prior to covering the Rangers, I worked on the Daily News' online sports desk and wrote a daily fantasy football blog and worked at the Philadelphia Inquirer, contributing coverage of the U.S. men's national soccer team; the Eagles, Phillies, 76ers and Union; the Major League Soccer SuperDraft; Division I basketball; professional boxing and high school basketball, football, lacrosse, soccer, wrestling and track & field - including the 116th annual Penn Relays in 2010. At the University of Notre Dame, I was managing editor of The Observer independent daily student newspaper as well as beat writer for the Notre Dame football and basketball teams. My objectives include to be comprehensive, creative and meticulous in my daily responsibilities, while addressing larger issues with an enterprising eye; to be reliable, versatile and professional.
