Previous role: Cerner Millennium Application and Infrastructure Support: As part of a team supporting Cerner Millennium for NHS Trusts, including support for Citrix, AIX, Windows Server etc. Skills: - Experience working within an ITIL-based environment with exposure to all aspects of the methodology as well as leading a team of technical analysts through ‘business as usual’ activities and incidents. - Involvement in change management aspects as well as involvement in CAB to offer technical assistance during the planning and acceptance of planned changes. - Regular attendance on and involvement in major incident conference calls to help ensure speedy and technically sound resolutions to service affecting incidents. - Management of early mobilisation tasks during the discovery and initial investigation of incidents along with assessing which teams and appropriate skills are required in order to achieve a positive outcome as swiftly as possible in order to meet strict SLA. - Methodical and technical triage and investigation of incidents during the day-to-day work of a busy and fast-paced operations centre. - Experience of different builds of Unix and AIX as well as the associated tools. - Strong communication skills, including the documentation of local operating procedures and knowledge base articles. - Exposure to virtualization technologies and associated systems. - Knowledge of Citrix XenApp infrastructure and experience managing large Citrix farms hosted across multiple physical sites.
