Claim your profileI've been a journalist for some 30 years, starting as a daily newspaper reporter, moving on to various freelancing, and stints at Publishers Weekly and then Library Journal. While at Library Journal, I also began my Atlantic Yards Report blog, nearly a second job, providing comprehensive coverage of Brooklyn's most controversial development project. (In August 2014, to acknowledge the new name of the project, I updated the name to Atlantic Yards (& Pacific Park) Report. In 2000, I launched a part-time tour business, New York Like a Native, which builds on my journalistic skills and curiosity about a wide range of Brooklyn neighborhoods. Over the years, I've built a repertoire of tours and worked with a wide array of universities, organizations, families, and individuals. Journalistic specialties: Deadline reporting, investigative/interpretive reporting, analysis, commentary, with special interests in urbanism, urban development, eminent domain, sports business, Brooklyn, and libraries.
