There are three main areas to my current work: Freelance business copywriter, proofreader and editorial consultant I work with corporate clients on copywriting requirements, including crafting opinions, blogs, white papers, thought leadership pieces, advertorials and award entries. This is either through media or PR companies or direct with end-clients, often universities or consultancies. I also regularly help organisations and publishers with proofreading, and advise on wider editorial strategy, including helping organisations with tenders and critiquing publications. Freelance magazine editor I am a highly experienced freelance magazine editor, specialising in editing contract magazines, websites and newsletters for membership organisations, professional bodies and other businesses. I am currently editor of the Society of Education and Training's InTuition journal, covering the post-16 further education sector. I have edited FSB's award-winning First Voice magazine and for clients in the electrical (Certsure) and plumbing/heating sectors (Wolseley), as well as one-off issues for the Chartered Association of Building Engineers and Liberation Initiatives. Freelance business journalist I write regularly for some of the UK's leading business magazines and national media, covering a wide range of workplace issues. Main areas of specialism include HR, employee benefits, payroll, procurement/supply chain, and IT/technology. I also host webinars and podcasts for various clients.
