Claim your profileI am a Sierra Leonean journalist with experience in print, audio and photo, covering social issues and human rights. Some of the stories I've covered include abortion access in Sierra Leone, allegations of institutional racism at Médecins Sans Frontières, housing injustice in New York, and healthcare access in Ohio.I also run Poda-Poda Stories, a literary journal which I founded in 2020. We publish fiction, essays, poems and reviews by Sierra Leonean emerging and established writers. We also run an interview series, where we talk to Sierra Leonean writers about their careers and craft. We recently got funding from The Commonwealth Foundation to support a writing fellowship in Sierra Leone. Before pursing journalism full-time, I worked in communications and policy in the aid industry. My roles included creating and implementing communications strategies for international non-profit organizations and aid agencies in Sierra Leone.
