I'm a White House reporter for The Washington Post, reporting on President Donald Trump, his policies, and the political movement that made him president twice. Previously, I covered national politics for Politico, with a focus on Republicans and the 2024 presidential election. During the 2022 midterms, I led Politico's coverage on Senate races and the fight for the control of the chamber. In Tennessee, my reporting prompted the speaker of the House and top legislative staff to resign in scandal and uncovered hundreds of millions of dollars in wasted federal grants intended to help the state’s working poor. I won the Malcolm Law Award for Investigative Reporting from Tennessee's AP Broadcasters & Media Editors for a series on the state's stockpile of unused TANF block grants.
