I began my next, new, exciting chapter at Gulfshore Business in August 2023. It is a Suncoast Broadcasting Company which publishes Gulfshore Life and Gulfshore Business - my gig. We are under the umbrella of Fort Myers Broadcasting Company which owns WINK News and other local TV affiliates, plus numerous radio stations (some of which are my favorites).I am so excited to be working here. Great talent, great company, but mostly...great people. A company (companies) I greatly recommend to prospective employees.Prior experiences: Reporter at The Daily Sun, Port Charlotte, FL, an Adams Publishing Group (APG) newspaper. Gold Award from Florida Press Association 2023.Former contract (three-month) technical editor at Gartner, Inc. (Gartner.com), the world's leading research consultancy firm, where I edited IT documentsFrom 2008 until late 2020 I was a contributing features writer for Harbor Style magazine, also an APG publication. My experience also includes: reporter at Knight-Ridder Financial News, 75 Wall St., New York, covering crude oil traded on the NYMEX, and news related to the oil and gas industries. My articles have appeared in the Journal of Commerce. Knight-Ridder's financial division was sold to Bridge Communications and the latter is no longer in business.I was recruited from the premier oil pricing and information firm, OPIS - Oil Price Information Service - in NJ, where I worked for five years. My writing and editing at OPIS was of the technical nature. In addition to my analytical pricing reports, I solely wrote a training manual for wholesalers. The manual dealt with gasoline standards as required by law, in the 50 U.S. States.
