I am a diabetes patient advocate. I help people living with diabetes make informed decisions to prevent the devastating effects of diabetes complications. I come from four generations of Type 2 diabetes, and my former partner of 20 years is a Type 1. I use my personal experience to coach patients through my columns, website articles, recipes, diabetes guides, and masterclass on working with their healthcare professionals to achieve their desired outcomes. Staying innovative comes naturally to me. Over 15 million copies of Diabetes Health magazine are used in doctor offices, emergency rooms, and pharmacies as an educational resource.
