He developed his skills in writing, story coverage, video/audio editing at Tennessee State University in Nashville, where he graduated with his Bachelor's of Science in Mass Communications in May 2014. He received his Master of Science in Media & Communication from Middle Tennessee State University in May 2018.He interned for The Tennessean's Design Studio where he copy edited and modified headlines for 16 Gannett newspapers. While interning at the Design Studio, he also contributed to Fansided.com as an NBA writer.While at TSU, he interned for The Tennessee Tribune covering high school sports. Simultaneously, he interned in the department of Media Relations at TSU producing press releases, feature stories, and social media such as Twitter and Facebook.
