Claim your profileI am a reporter for E&E News, covering the Interior Department and related issues. I previously was a reporter in the Washington, D.C. bureau of McClatchy newspapers between 1988 and 2017 and am currently an adjunct professorial lecturer at The George Washington University's School of Media and Public Affairs. I earned a Master of Studies in Law from Yale Law School and a Master in Government from The Johns Hopkins University. Syracuse University Press published my three books: "The Ministers' War: John W. Mears, the Oneida Community and the Crusade for Public Morality," "The Forestport Breaks: A Nineteenth-Century Conspiracy Along the Black River Canal" and "Radical Chapters: Pacifist Bookseller Roy Kepler and the Paperback Revolution." I served as an active volunteer Firefighter/EMT-B from 2002 through 2015 in Arlington County, Virginia.
