Before that, I reported on politics and campaigns the Southeast as part of the Times's team covering the 2024 presidential election. I have written extensively about the campaigns for governor and U.S. Senate in Georgia and covered congressional races in North and South Carolina. Prior to joining The New York Times, I was a national political reporter at POLITICO, where I wrote about race, political advertising and gubernatorial campaigns.
