I also write about social media, Eurovision and Doctor Who for the Guardian, as well as setting the website's Thursday quiz every week.I’ve been building digital products for over 20 years, and have worked as a Product Manager, an Information Architect, a User Experience Designer and as an Editor.I helped Trinity Mirror develop UsVsTh3m, Ampp3d and Mirror Row Zed, as well as building a “social content” team for Mirror Online. I’ve also worked at the Guardian as Head of User Experience and as Social Media Editor, and at Sony and the BBC. In between these jobs I ran Emblem Digital Consulting, working with clients like the Arts Council England and the Natural History Museum.I’ve written and edited books for the Guardian Shorts series about the Olympics, Facebook and Doctor Who. I’ve been blogging and writing since 2002 on currybet.net and martinbelam.com about journalism, digital media and design. And I make 80s-sounding electronic music about the paranormal in my spare time as m-orchestra, because, why not?
