Claim your profileI’m Deputy Opinion Editor at The Globe and Mail, where I oversee the paper’s Saturday Opinion section. I previously served as the Books Editor of both the Globe and the National Post, and was the co-founder and editor of the landmark books blog, The Afterword, and its popular weekly book club, The Afterword Reading Society. I’m the only person to serve as Books Editor at both of Canada's national newspapers. Before that I was a culture reporter. My work has appeared in publications across North America, including Toronto Life, The Walrus and the Postmedia chain of newspapers. My first book is forthcoming from McClelland & Stewart. I served on PEN Canada's Board of Directors and on the Advisory Committee of The Humber School for Writers. I live with my family in Toronto.
