I’m a reporter writing primarily about music, culture and New York for the international news agency Agence France Presse. My work on music also frequently intersects with courts and the justice system. Previous bylines include Harper’s, Al Jazeera America, Le Monde Diplomatique, Public Radio International and the Associated Press, among others.I have worked in French, German and Spanish. I completed a joint global journalism master’s degree at New York University’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute and Institute of French Studies.After growing up on a vegetable farm just outside Madison, Wisconsin, I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in journalism and international studies.
