Claim your profileI am an experienced media professional with a deep knowledge of current affairs, business, and philanthropy. I currently lead the nonprofit portfolio at my agency, where I edit two not-for-profit dual language (EN/AR) websites about philanthropy, run various social media channels, and produce two podcasts. Working with partners such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, I plan and moderate panels at sector-related events and support the production of knowledge resources about philanthropy in MENA.In parallel, I support on brand strategy projects and client engagement and have conceptualised and executed several website launches. I am proficient in Adobe Audition and InDesign, as well as Umbraco and other content management systems, and have experience in newsletters, SEO optimisation, UX/UI design, and site analytics.During my career, I have lived and worked on three continents filing for TV, radio, newspapers, magazines and online platforms. I have delivered due diligence investigations for a variety of international corporate and nonprofit clients, including Global Witness and Control Risks, written a paper on regional trade for the South African Institute for International Affairs (SAIIA), and supported corporates and charities with Portuguese to English translation and media training.In 2015, I was part of the team that helped IRIN (now The New Humanitarian) transition out of the UN to become an independent not-for-profit news service. In addition to reporting on Middle Eastern humanitarian crises, I helped lead the site's policy coverage in the run-up to the World Humanitarian Summit, co-ordinated TNH's inaugural partnership with the Fragile States Index, and produced a multi-part series about the Humanitarian-Development-Peace nexus.
