Twice named Best Travel Writer at the National Travel Industry Awards, and a finalist for the 2025 CLIA Media Award, I write hotel, airline and cruise reviews in the Travel & Luxury section of national newspaper, The Australian. I am also the Cruise Explorer columnist for Explore, published weekly (online and printed in the weekend travel lift-out in 28 newspapers around Australia).Past roles include Managing Editor at TripAdvisor, as senior editor of Cruise Critic for six years; editor of Cruise Weekly for five years; columnist for Escape (The Solo Traveller) and The Australian (The Cruise Tourist); magazine editor (Get Up & Go, Natural Health & Beauty, PS); and e-letter editor (Pharmacy Daily).In London, I freelanced for The Times, The Independent and the Guardian for four years. Backed by a journalism degree and training as a newspaper reporter, I have almost 30 years of experience in editorial and management roles.
