Claim your profileI have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Communications from the University of Regina (1997) and 20+ years of newspaper experience, including general assignment and beat reporting — education, City Hall and criminal and civil court — photography and editing for both print and digital media (primarily using WordPress). I also have some experience with page layout using InDesign, and a small amount of previous experience working in communications for the federal government. In my current position, I am the primary copy editor for an award-winning daily newspaper, a member of its editorial board and a coordinator for arts and lifestyle coverage. I also serve as a legal troubleshooter, an occasional mentor for reporters, and an assignment editor for breaking news. My duties include web publishing and social media monitoring. From 2020 to 2023, I served on the volunteer board of directors for Prairie Harm Reduction in Saskatoon.
