From there, I won a scholarship at The Times newspaper as their "Young Photographer of the Year" in 2003. After a number of years with The Times, I went fully freelance, working for a number of different picture agencies before focusing on Agence France-Presse. I worked freelance for AFP until securing a staff position at their London bureau in 2007. I have been based in London ever since, covering many major events including many Wimbledon tennis tournaments, the Royal Wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the 2005 terrorist attacks in London, the Winter Olympics in both Vancouver and Sochi, the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Libyan Revolution and many many Glastonbury festivals. In 2015, I was asked to be a brand ambassador by the Nikon imaging company and have since promoted their products through magazine interviews and presentations at major photography events. In 2016, I moved to Getty Images where I cover the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.
