Leigh Weingus is a content creator and strategist with 15 years of experience in media. Currently the Deputy Health Editor at Parade.com, she plans, assigns, and edits all of Parade's health content and manages a team of experienced freelance writers. She also ideates and generates creative health packages to win sponsored campaigns, while working hard to promptly break important health news and report out viral wellness trends. Before accepting a full-time job at Parade, Leigh was a freelance writer and editor, primarily covering health and wellness and e-commerce. Her works has been featured in The Washington Post, SELF, Forbes, Glamour, Oprah Daily, HuffPost, Byrdie, and many more. Leigh was previously the senior editor of fitness and relationship content at mindbodygreen; senior health editor at Elite Daily (where she single-handedly launched their health and wellness vertical); health and entertainment editor at The Huffington Post; and editorial assistant at J-14 magazine. She published her first book, A Rainbow Of Smoothie Bowls, in 2016 after the publishing house Ulysses Press noticed the vibrant, delicious-looking smoothie bowls popping up all over her Instagram feed. She’s also a certified yoga instructor, and when she’s not indulging in her various health and wellness-related hobbies, you can likely find her curled up on the couch with a great fiction book.
