I co-author the Daily Brief and write about the intersection of finance, Big Tech and AI for Quartz. Before Qz, I worked as business breaking news reporter at The Messenger and a freelance reporter focusing on local journalism. In early 2023, I my scoop for WNYC & Gothamist about the 5-year high in construction worker deaths on non-union sites garnered widespread attention from city officials looking to address the issue. I've had the incredible opportunity of working in both digital and audio local journalism in North Carolina, New Hampshire, New York, and Cape Town, South Africa. My audio work has appeared on NPR's "All Things Considered," New Hampshire Public Radio, WUNC, and local public radio stations across the country. I spent two years in North Carolina launching a multimedia civic journalism platform, Shoresides, for the nonprofit Narrative Arts to serve rural communities underrepresented in their local media outlets.
