There are a lot of things I really enjoy about my job, but one that might stand above all is the privilege to tell people's stories. The college football player inspired by parents dealing with debilitating health conditions. The cancer-afflicted woman who understands her days are numbered and wants to devote her remaining time to serve others fighting cancer. The Chinese acrobat who has made her living in the U.S. as a halftime act, flipping bowls onto her head while riding a unicycle. To have people routinely entrust you to tell their stories, and then have the privilege of sharing them, are two overwhelming privileges of being a reporter.
