My parents had recently moved our family from the British Virgin Islands to the US Virgin Islands. That childhood experience shaped my career goals. The fact is, I live my childhood dream every time I walk into a newsroom. The opportunity drives me; motivates me; focuses me. I have been blessed that my work has been recognized over the years with Emmy's and AP awards. Beyond the accolades, what's most important is that my work serves the community in which I live.
