I am an experienced travel consultant, writer, editor and guide based in Tokyo for over 20 years. My editorial work has appeared in international publications including Women’s Wear Daily, the New York Times and CNN, as well as local magazines such as Metropolis and Tokyo Weekender. While I am especially experienced in writing about the innovative and ever-changing fashion business, I have also covered topics related to travel, design, beauty, retail, and life and tourism in Japan. My journalism work led me to the travel industry, where I have been working as a travel designer and guide for almost a decade. Having worked with nearly every luxury travel company in Japan, and owing to my strong Japanese language and people skills, I am uniquely positioned to understand the expectations of high net worth international travelers while supporting local businesses and tourist destinations.
